Maintenance Worker (Temporary Assignment - 3 months)

The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

The Maintenance Worker supports the Maintenance Department with day-to-day manual labor and facilities maintenance. This role will assist with moving lockers, furniture, materials, and equipment, while helping prepare work areas for new equipment coming into the facility.

Essential Functions:

• Move lockers, furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies as needed throughout the facility.
• Assist with preparing work areas for new equipment, including clearing, organizing, and setting up spaces.
• Perform general facilities maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and basic upkeep.
• Support Maintenance team members with projects and work orders as directed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other basic equipment safely and appropriately.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assist with transporting tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites within the facility.
• Help keep building and grounds areas clean, safe, and free of debris.
• Follow all safety procedures, including required EHS guidelines, training, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support facility needs.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Skills are required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
• Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials; and planning and managing projects.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

Individual must be a:

• Citizen of the United States, or
• Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
• Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Additional Requirements:

• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Pay Range: $20-$22/hr.
