Responsibilities

If you're an accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding the story behind the numbers, and helping a manufacturing business run smoothly, this could be worth a look.
You'll be joining a business where finance plays a key role in supporting operational decisions, not just reporting what happened last month. From inventory and cost accounting through to month-end close and leadership reporting, you'll be at the center of the action, making sure the numbers are accurate and meaningful.

The Role

This is a hands-on Senior Accountant position with broad exposure across the finance function. You'll own key areas of the general ledger, support month-end close, manage inventory accounting activities, and provide the analysis that helps leaders make informed decisions.
It's a role for someone who likes solving problems, improving processes, and keeping financial reporting on track without needing a reminder every five minutes.

What You'll Do

  • Run month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Report monthly financial results through SAP Business Consolidation or similar reporting tools
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, KPI dashboards, and presentations for site leadership
  • Manage inventory accounting activities, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and reserve calculations
  • Support fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking
  • Investigate inventory, balance sheet, and operating variances, providing clear analysis and explanations
  • Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and audit documentation
  • Help maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting policies
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve performance and drive better financial outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate routine finance activities

Qualifications

About You

You'll likely bring a mix of technical accounting knowledge, manufacturing finance experience, and a practical approach to getting things done.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CMA qualification preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing operations
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, D365, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills, with Power Query knowledge being an advantage
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple teams
  • Clear communicator who can explain financial information without turning it into an accounting textbook
  • Experience with BlackLine or FloQast would be a bonus

What You'll Get

  • Pay Rate: $55 per hour
  • Contract - 9 Months
  • Hybrid
