Responsibilities

If you enjoy solving manufacturing problems, improving processes, and seeing the impact of your work on the shop floor, this is the kind of role worth exploring.

Our client manufactures advanced ceramic and composite components used in both medical and aerospace applications. Their products are found in environments where quality, reliability, and precision aren't negotiable, whether that's supporting life-changing medical devices or critical aerospace systems.

The Role

As a Process Engineer, you'll help develop, improve, and support the manufacturing processes used to produce advanced ceramic components. You'll work closely with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency, reduce variation, and solve technical challenges before they become bigger problems.
This is a hands-on role. You won't be stuck behind a desk all day. You'll spend time on the production floor, working directly with processes, equipment, and the people who keep everything moving.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and improve safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing processes
  • Support ceramic manufacturing operations including material preparation, molding, pressing, and high-temperature processing
  • Investigate production and quality issues using structured problem-solving methods
  • Drive improvements that reduce scrap, improve yield, and increase process capability
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process flows, and control plans
  • Support new product introductions, process validation activities, and production launches
  • Conduct PFMEAs, capability studies, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with quoting activities related to labor, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes
  • Evaluate equipment improvements and support capital investment projects
  • Train and support production teams on new processes, equipment, and standard work practices

Qualifications

About You / What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, or production engineering environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes involving mixing, molding, pressing, ovens, kilns, or other high-temperature equipment
  • Knowledge of ceramics, advanced materials, powder processing, or similar manufacturing technologies
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience creating manufacturing procedures, process documentation, and technical work instructions
  • Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively across operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain functions
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities while keeping an eye on the details
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Get

  • The opportunity to work on products used in both medical and aerospace applications
  • Exposure to advanced ceramic and materials manufacturing technologies
  • A collaborative engineering environment where you'll work closely with multiple teams, not just tick boxes
  • Opportunities for professional growth within a specialized manufacturing operation
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Salary: $68K - $102K
  • Year end bonus - performance based
