Responsibilities

Purpose of the Position

This position is part of the Quality Management structure. Its purpose is to manage, coordinate, and lead all activities related to quality management throughout the company's processes, impacting incoming raw materials, in-process operations, and finished products. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of Dynamic Control Plans; preparation of work instructions and in-process release sheets for incoming materials, production processes, and finished goods; implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage R&R studies, and defect catalogs; analysis of internal and external quality issues; root cause identification; preparation of quality alerts; process audits; annual product evaluations (Full Layout); analysis of returned parts resulting from customer complaints; standardization and lean manufacturing initiatives; and ensuring compliance with quality standards by organizing and directing activities toward continuous process improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for verifying compliance with Dynamic Control Plans within manufacturing processes, ensuring the application of statistical process control techniques, including Cp/Cpk analysis when applicable. Oversees the activities of Quality Auditors, ensures compliance with the process audit schedule, provides training to assigned personnel, and follows up on corrective and preventive actions resulting from internal and external issues, as well as process audit nonconformities, to ensure processes are carried out according to the quality standards established in the QMS.

  2. Responsible for issuing reports and charts related to audit performance indicators, including scrap reports, customer complaints, and process audit findings.

  3. Responsible for developing PPAP documentation and/or First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) when applicable, as well as preparing and submitting dimensional studies.

  4. Plans, coordinates, and executes process audit programs through the training of process auditors. Develops the process audit schedule, involving, promoting, and supporting the resolution of nonconformities and findings identified across different areas.

  5. Monitors and provides feedback on QMS performance indicators through statistical analysis and database reviews. Evaluates and participates in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Profile Requirements:

 

 
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same position.
Bachelor’s degree required; completed degree preferred.
Preferred fields of study: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Chemical Engineering.
