Responsibilities

The Role

You’ll be setting up and running both standard and CNC machine shop equipment, creating programs, and making sure parts meet spec before they leave your station. It’s not just loading and pressing go—you’ll have ownership over your work.


What You’ll Do

  • Set up and run CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Write and adjust CNC programs based on part requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints (simple through to more detailed)
  • Inspect parts using visual and dimensional checks to ensure quality
  • Build simple jigs and fixtures when needed
  • Keep your workspace clean and organized using 6S
  • Follow all safety procedures—no shortcuts here
  • Support the wider team and pick up additional tasks as required

 

Qualifications

About You / What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Machinist training or solid experience in a machine shop
  • Confidence setting up machines and working with CNC programs
  • Good understanding of geometry and basic trigonometry
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • A practical problem solver who can think through

  • Reliable, organized, and steady in your approach
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
