Overview

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join us at our site in Dunn, NC.  You will create intricate programs for CNC operation and set-up/operate all standard and CNC machine shop equipment to produce high quality parts. 

 

We are looking for someone to work 2nd shift. Starting hourly rate is $26.10/hr + shift differential.  Great benefits with stability and growth potential.  

 

Monday-Thursday - 2.30pm - 12.00am

Friday - 2.30pm - 6.30pm

 

There is a shift differential of 10%

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

Setup and operate all standard and CNC machine shop equipment to produce high quality parts.

Essential Functions:

1.      Setup and perform a variety of machining operations on standard and CNC equipment.

2.      Create intricate programs for CNC operation.

3.      Know and understand the simple mathematical application of geometry and trigonometry.

4.      Read and understand simple to complex blueprints.

5.      Plan and execute simple projects, such as building simple jigs and fixtures.

6.      Be responsible for all work produced by visual and dimensional inspection to ensure designated quality standards.

7.      Follow all plant safety rules and understand that working safely is a condition of employment.

8.      Maintain a clean work area and follow principles of 5S.

9.      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Machinist diploma or ample experience in a machine shop environment.

  • Must be able to work as a team player to help everyone succeed
  • Must have good problem solving skills
  • Must be safety-conscious
  • Must manage time wisely, maintain good attendance
  • Must adhere to all Company policies (safety, attendance, behavioral, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of standing for the majority of an 8-hour workday
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
  • Safety glasses and safety shoes required to be worn
