Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all facility and manufacturing equipment. This role leads the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities to maximize uptime, protect critical assets, and support uninterrupted production.

 

This position supports a highly technical manufacturing environment that includes high-temperature vacuum and hydrogen furnaces, plating and cleaning lines, cleanroom operations, and supporting facility systems. The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for maintaining these systems in a state of control, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

 

This role carries 24/7 on-call responsibility and is a key leader in responding to and resolving equipment and facility issues that impact safety, quality, and delivery.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Own the overall reliability and performance of all manufacturing and facility equipment, ensuring systems are operating safely, efficiently, and within defined process parameters.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team, setting clear expectations around safety, urgency, accountability, and technical execution.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for complex systems, including vacuum furnaces, hydrogen furnaces, plating lines, cleaning systems, and cleanroom infrastructure.
  • Establish and drive a proactive maintenance strategy, using data and trends (uptime, MTBF, MTTR) to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Ensure all equipment and facility systems meet EHS, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, with a strong focus on safe operation of high-risk systems (e.g., hydrogen, high temperature processes).
  • Act as the primary escalation point for maintenance-related issues, with 24/7 on-call accountability to support plant operations and respond to emergencies.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align maintenance priorities with operational needs and customer commitments.
  • Manage external contractors and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and timely execution of work.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of critical spare parts and ensure readiness to support rapid recovery from equipment failures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to analyze data, manage work orders, and drive maintenance planning through CMMS and ERP systems.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Individual must be a:
    • Citizen of the United States, or
    • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
    • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15
