Responsibilities

We design and manufacture ceramic-to-metal seals used in medical implants and aerospace applications. In plain terms: our components help improve quality of life and help keep people safe when they travel.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll sit at the point where our suppliers, our internal teams, and our quality standards meet. Your job is to make sure the parts we buy are right first time — not just on paper, but on the shop floor.

The role

You’ll be the quality lead for our supplier base. That means working closely with Purchasing and suppliers’ quality teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and prevent problems from coming back. You’ll spend time analysing data, running investigations, auditing suppliers, and helping shape how quality is built into new parts from day one.
This isn’t a “tick-the-box” role. You’ll be hands-on, visible, and trusted to make calls that protect our products and our customers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own supplier quality issues from first alert through root cause and corrective action
  • Lead MRB activity and manage NCMRs, RTVs, CAPAs, and SCARs
  • Support suppliers with investigations, PFMEAs, control plans, and process improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement using tools like SPC, SQC, Kaizen, and value analysis
  • Support new supplier selection and new product introduction (NPI) activities
  • Build and maintain supplier performance scorecards and audit suppliers as needed
  • Analyse quality data using ERP systems, Excel, and Minitab
  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001)
  • Develop and execute validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ), DOEs, and capability studies
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues quickly and practically

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace or medical is a strong plus)
  • Solid working knowledge of quality tools: MRB, CAPA, PFMEA, SPC, control plans
  • Confidence working directly with suppliers — including challenging conversations
  • Strong data analysis skills and comfort with Excel (Minitab experience is a plus)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A practical, detail‑focused mindset and a bias for solving problems, not just documenting them

Nice to have

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Experience with CMMs, SmartScope, GD&T, and measurement system analysis
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Experience in regulated environments (ISO, FDA, aerospace standards)

What you’ll get

  • A role that genuinely impacts product quality and patient and passenger safety
  • Exposure to both medical and aerospace manufacturing
  • A collaborative engineering and quality team that values clear thinking over noise
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • A stable, established manufacturing environment with room to grow
This role requires eligibility to work with export‑controlled information under ITAR/EAR regulations.
