Key Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing processes to reduce waste, costs, and headaches
- Support production teams with day‑to‑day engineering queries
- Run investigations into process issues and implement fixes that actually stick
- Introduce new equipment, tooling, or methods without disrupting output
- Maintain and update process documentation (the useful kind, not just tick‑boxes)
- Lead small improvement projects and help push bigger ones over the line
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to keep everything running smoothly
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and with hands-on problem solving
- Able to analyse process data and spot what needs improving
- Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methods (formal or learned on the job)
- Good communicator – you can explain things simply without the jargon
- Someone who likes fixing things and seeing tangible results
Nice to Have
- Experience with ceramics, precision engineering, or similar sectors
- Understanding of PFMEA, control plans, or statistical process control
- Exposure to automation or process equipment upgrades
