CNC Programmer

• Program, set-up, operate and maintain the machines in department simultaneously.
• Work from production orders to perform designated operations.
• Understand process improvement, component identification, material identification and inventory issues.
• Reduce lead times and follow Kanban Process.
• Download and adjust part programs with wear and geometry offsets.
• Responsible for bar stock put away and disposal of waste chips.
• Maintain coolant and all oil levels on machines.
• Follow work order, blueprint and standard instructions during machine setup.
• Change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks and tool holders.
• Assist with training of other operators.
• Read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Program Milling machines and Lathes to manufacture customer components.
• Develop CNC programs for production runs and ensure that the information is correctly saved.
• Maintain tooling data base.
• Make manual program adjustments when required.
• Eliminate non-value added activities.
• Maintain safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3 - 7 years direct related work experience
• Fanuc and Mastercam programming essential
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills
• Ability to analyse blueprints
• Knowledge and experience of machinery and equipment maintenance
