Power BI Developer

Role Overview
The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful business insights. This role requires a deep understanding of data structures, data models, and business processes, combined with strong expertise in Power BI to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics solutions.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Power BI, including:
Experience using parameters to support release management, especially when working with evolving or changing data sources.
Deep understanding of data structures and modelling techniques, including star schema, snowflake schema, and hybrid data models.
Hands-on experience with relational databases, such as SQL Server and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Strong knowledge of data integration and ETL processes, including working with APIs and external data sources.
Understanding of Row-Level Security (RLS) and other access control mechanisms within Power BI.
Ability to work with large datasets, including performance optimization of reports, models, and queries.
Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks, such as DevOps, Scrum, or similar methodologies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Logic Apps, and SharePoint.
Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, ensuring alignment across both technical and business teams.
Experience delivering analytical solutions within the manufacturing industry, with an understanding of sector-specific data and operational needs.
