The Reliability Engineer partners across engineering, maintenance, operations, and leadership teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of production assets, utilities, and facilities. This role leads initiatives that reduce equipment failures, optimize maintenance strategies, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) — all while protecting asset life at the lowest practical cost.
This is an onsite position, working Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day.
We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Engineer who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is passionate about maximizing asset performance, minimizing downtime, and driving operational excellence. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who combines analytical rigor with cross-functional leadership and influence.
If you are skilled in root cause analysis, predictive maintenance technologies, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), this opportunity offers the platform to make measurable impact across equipment, processes, and systems.
Asset Reliability & Maintenance Strategy
Guide efforts to improve reliability and maintainability of equipment, utilities, mechanical, electrical, control, and safety systems.
Define, develop, and refine asset management plans and preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs.
Optimize maintenance frequency using downtime trends, equipment histories, and economic analysis to avoid over-maintenance.
Maintain and continuously improve Asset Maintenance Plans.
Root Cause & Failure Elimination
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives and build cross-functional consensus around corrective actions.
Develop engineered solutions to eliminate repetitive failures affecting availability, performance, quality, cost, or compliance.
Support failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action systems.
Review equipment failures and determine preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
Data-Driven Continuous Improvement
Utilize OEE, Pareto analysis, reliability modeling, prediction tools, and Six Sigma (6σ) methodologies to drive improvement.
Perform downtime trend analysis and reliability assessments.
Apply statistical methods to evaluate probability and consequence of failures.
Predictive & Condition-Based Maintenance
Implement and optimize condition monitoring technologies including:
Vibration analysis
Lubrication analysis
Thermography
Ultrasonic testing
Machine alignment and balancing
Capital Projects & Standardization
Support capital projects to ensure reliability and maintainability of new or modified installations.
Develop equipment standardization programs influencing construction materials, spare parts, and equipment selection.
Champion standardized operating and asset care procedures through the Asset Operating Plan.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (experience in lieu of degree considered).
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or materials management.
CRE or CMRP certification preferred.
Technical Expertise
Deep knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Strong understanding of condition monitoring principles and applications.
Solid knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair.
Experience applying statistical and reliability modeling methods.
Professional Skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication skills — able to teach and advocate reliability best practices.
Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Regular sitting, standing, and walking.
Frequent computer use.
Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.
Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Opportunity to lead high-impact reliability initiatives.
Influence capital investment and long-term asset strategy.
Work in a collaborative environment where continuous improvement is valued.
Play a critical role in improving plant performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
