Job Title: IT SITE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

 

Location: East Stroudsburg, PA or Augusta, GA

Employment Type: 3-months project-based role

This role requires a lot of travels to provide support across multiple sites, primarily on the East Coast

 

The Role:

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to support the hardware deployment portion of a company-wide ERP implementation. This role will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and supporting end-user hardware across multiple facilities. The position requires extensive travel and onsite work, strong troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to work in industrial or warehouse environments.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, deploy, and support end‑user computing devices, including desktop and laptop systems used for ERP activities.
  • Install, configure, and validate peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and other hardware required to support ERP processes.
  • Physically deploy, position, and connect hardware across all facility areas, including production floors, warehouses, and office environments.
  • Provide onsite end‑user support during ERP go‑live and hypercare periods, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal operational disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, peripheral, and basic network connectivity issues to maintain system availability for ERP users.
  • Collaborate closely with ERP project teams, site leaders, and IT staff to ensure hardware readiness, alignment with cutover timelines, and successful deployment outcomes.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including hardware configuration records, site layout maps, and detailed deployment procedures.
  • Support ongoing hardware lifecycle activities, including refreshes, replacements, and resolution of hardware‑related issues throughout the ERP implementation.
  • Deliver high‑quality customer service, ensuring user needs are addressed promptly and business operations experience minimal disruption during hardware deployments.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in IT support, site support, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong hands‑on troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
  • Experience providing onsite technical support, particularly in environments where rapid issue resolution is critical.
  • Ability to work independently, including in remote or lightly supervised locations.
  • Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to support end‑users professionally and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for assisting non‑technical users.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (not mandatory).
  • Advantageous certifications, such as ITIL or equivalent, demonstrating best‑practice IT service management knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
