Role Overview

The ERP Deployment Director is a pivotal leadership role within Morgan’s Highlander Programme.  It will report to Morgan’s Finance Transformation Director, the aim being to ensure that deployment and change management activities are closely aligned and delivered to our business units as a single cohesive programme.

The programme is critical to the Company’s digital and financial aspirations and both the CEO and CFO are actively involved in supporting the programme as a result.

Morgan Advanced Materials is a global materials science and application engineering company headquartered in Windsor, UK.  Morgan is a world leader in advanced materials science specialising in the engineering of ceramics and carbon. The company operates in a series of well-defined markets where its application expertise offers its customers a valuable differentiator via  the manufacture of high-specification materials, components and sub-assembly parts that solve their challenging technical problems. The company operates in the Industrial, Transportation, Petrochemical, Energy, Semiconductor, Healthcare and Defence markets. Many of Morgan’s products are required to perform critical functions in harsh or demanding environments.

Morgan employs approximately 8,000 people and has a significant operational presence in all the world’s major regions, with 57 manufacturing sites across 30 countries, serving customers in over 100 countries. The company is organised in three global segments: Thermal Products, Technical Ceramics and Performance Carbon.  It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM has been selected as Morgan’s ERP system to replace a number of older legacy systems.  Having nearly completed the configuration and testing phase of the programme, and with deployment at a pilot site also nearly complete, the Company now wishes to implement a rapid roll-out such that, by the end of 2027, the refreshed ERP will form the basis of an ambitious digital transformation.

A Programme Director with broad ERP experience was recruited in early 2024 to establish the programme, then lead system design and configuration.  As we approach the roll-out phase, we wish to appoint a Deployment Director with in depth deployment expertise to take over from the Programme Director in early 2026 and oversee the next phase.
