Overview

EHS Lead – Rugby (with support for Stourport)

This role’s about making sure our sites in Rugby and Stourport don’t just meet EHS standards, they set them. You’ll be the go-to person for all things Environment, Health and Safety, working closely with the EHS Manager to keep operations safe, compliant, and sustainable.

We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to get stuck in, ask the awkward questions, and help teams do things better, not just tick boxes.

The Role

You’ll be based in Rugby, with regular involvement in Stourport. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll lead EHS initiatives, run training, carry out inspections, and help teams stay on the right side of regulations. You’ll also be the friendly face of safety, someone people trust to help, not hinder.

Responsibilities

    • Support the EHS Manager in rolling out policies and procedures
    • Monitor compliance with EHS regulations and internal standards
    • Run risk assessments and job safety analyses
    • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and help fix the root causes
    • Deliver EHS training and emergency drills for staff and contractors
    • Keep accurate records and prepare reports for stakeholders
    • Promote sustainability and waste reduction across both sites
    • Carry out site inspections and audits
    • Help develop emergency response plans (yes, including fire drills)
    • Advise on PPE and make sure it’s used properly
    • Keep EHS conversations going between teams, contractors, and leadership
    • Stay up to date on regulations and best practices
    • Join cross-functional meetings to make sure EHS isn’t an afterthought

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • NEBOSH or similar EHS qualification
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of EHS regulations and how to apply them
  • Confident with risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and driving change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Experience supporting multiple sites

What You’ll Get

  • A role with real impact across two key sites
  • Supportive team and leadership who value EHS
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Opportunities to grow and shape how EHS is done
