Overview

Supply Chain Manager
Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire or Rugby, Warwickshire

Morgan Advanced Materials has been around since 1856. We make clever things out of ceramics and carbon – the kind of materials that solve tricky problems for customers in industries like aerospace, healthcare, and energy. We’re global, listed on the FTSE 250, and we’re serious about sustainability and improving lives through what we make and how we make it.

This role matters because without a smart, proactive supply chain, nothing gets made. You’ll be the one making sure materials, goods and services arrive on time, at the right cost, and with minimal fuss. You’ll report to the EC UK Site Manager and lead the supply chain function across two sites.

The Role

You’ll run the full supply chain show – from sourcing and purchasing to warehousing and dispatch. You’ll keep production flowing, manage supplier relationships, and make sure everything’s compliant, efficient and cost-effective. You’ll also lead a team, coach them, and help bring in new talent.

Responsibilities

  • Run sourcing strategies and negotiate supplier contracts
  • Manage supplier performance, audits, and compliance
  • Lead the SIOP process to balance demand and supply
  • Oversee purchasing, warehousing, and freight operations
  • Ensure trade compliance (import/export, customs, documentation)
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Manage budgets, resources, and external providers
  • Promote ethical sourcing and sustainability
  • Build a strong, inclusive team culture and support development

Qualifications

About You

  • Experienced supply chain manager (5+ years) with a solid procurement background
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or similar
  • Confident using ERP systems and supply chain tools
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator
  • Strong people manager who leads by example
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office

Nice to Have

  • CIPS, CPSM or CSCP qualifications
  • ILM Level 5 or similar management training (or willing to get it)

What You’ll Get

  • Full-time, permanent role based in Stourport-on-Severn
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • A company that values sustainability, inclusion and innovation
  • The chance to make a real impact in a global business
