Responsibilities

Job purpose:

 

You are responsible for coordinating logistics and orders between GVL and ATL and ensuring we optimize our ability to support our third party requirements and align with the commercial team.

Delivering on these plans will require close monitoring with further escalation of constraints for the operations team and working with local teams to replan production and communicate impacts where necessary. Shortage notification, expediting, adjusting raw material inventories between centers and reprioritizing orders are also key activities this role will cover.

 

Main responsibilites:

 

  • Identify production priorities for maquila lines, based on demand, installed capacity, availability of resources, among others; taking into account the production expectation established by the Greenville (USA) plant; with the purpose of developing the production programs to be fulfilled in the period, identifying the barriers that may interfere with the result, informing the Production Manager and Supervisors and the interested people of Greenville (USA), in turn Optimizing the capacity of the different VS ensuring maximum utilization of work centers.
  • Work across all areas of the site to improve the supply chain planning process, from raw materials to delivery of finished products to our customers.
  • Creation of a cross-cutting plan that brings together previously independent site-based planning activities into a consolidated and transparent process.
  • Planning and monitoring of material flows and production quantities.
  • Establish capacity levels and key constraints to enable effective forecasting and planning.
  • It is responsible for direct and effective communication with the Greenville plant in order to keep updated information regarding the production program, inventories of raw materials, tooling, etc., that affect compliance with production programs; Likewise, he is responsible, together with the team in the USA, for establishing metrics related to availability of materials, volume of product in process, among others; for the creation and shipment of orders by the USA. Manage and report on key supply chain KPIs and planning
  • Defines, implements and manages inventory and product flows through the plant
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels throughout the site
  • Manage the supply base of the necessary raw materials by establishing maximums and minimums according to demand.
  • Balances inventory with required service; Creates and keeps updated the Standard Operating Procedure for the specific activities of this position as well as its direct reports.

Requirements:

  • University degree,
  • 3 years verifiable experience in a similar job position
  • Proficiency in the English language at level B2, C1 desirable

 

It will be highly valued to have experience in the following areas:

• Use of MRP (production management)
• Knowledge of Statistics (forecast, trend, projection, etc.)
• Production planning
• SIOP 
• Knowledge of the supply chain
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Computer skills
