Overview

Product Stewardship Specialist, Remote
Location: Remote, India (preferred near an operational plant)
Travel: Up to 15%

 

The Product Stewardship Specialist will be responsible for developing and updating the Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) for all Global Business Units (GBU’s). They will also have responsibility for updating and submitting IUCLID* files for REACH* registration purposes when required (at least annually) and assisting the Regulatory Compliance Manager with product compliance requests relating to a number of global regulations (including REACH, RoHS, TSCA and Prop 65*).  This role will also act as an advisor to the Morgan business and respond to request from customers, both internal and external.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of the Morgan product safety data sheets (SDSs), and respond to requests from internal customer to develop SDSs as required.
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of product stewardship legislative requirements and update internal SDSs accordingly.
  • Support GBUs in ensuring they maintain a register of legislative updates and issues, as well as a database of SDSs with key information on products.
  • Collaborate with marketing/communication teams to maintain SDSs on public facing website.
  • Update and submit IUCLID files for both joint and lead registrant dossiers.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain ECHA access for all legal entities in EU.
  • Provide a service to the GBU customer service and Trade Compliance teams with requests for SDSs and product compliance information using the internal systems in place, this may include producing new templates, creating entries on IMDS* and updating information as and when regulatory updates are implemented (for example, changes to SVHC* candidate list) as well as advising on Classification and Origin.
  • Auditing and reviewing site systems for storing and updating raw material and maintenance SDSs from suppliers.
  • Instigate and contribute to process improvements in the business to assist with robust & accurate Product Stewardship related data availability.
  • Provide advise and guidance to internal customers on new product development relating to Product Stewardship compliance; including leading on Product Stewardship aspects of new product introduction (NPI) trails, where appropriate

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in a science or business related subject
  • 5+ years’ experience in product stewardship
  • Experience in authoring SDS’s under CLP, HazCom and GHS
  • Experience in updating and submitting REACH registration dossiers
  • Fluency in English
