Overview
The role will be the business partner of the Operations Managers of the two sites and will be part of the local leadership team (Codir). The role will also be part of the HR EMEA team, with the other HR Managers (STM, Sales France, Italy, Germany, UK and UAE).
This is an exciting and challenging role requiring an individual who excels through executing, manage changing and taking people with them.

 

The HR Manager is responsible for all people based activity within Thouarcé and Lillebonne from both an operational and strategic perspective.

This role includes traveling to both sites.

The HR Manager provides Business Partner Support to the site senior management. The role drives operational and strategic HR projects with the aim of Attracting, Retaining and Motivating (ARM) the right people with the right skills to deliver on the business objectives. On top of this, the HRM will coordinate our Talent Acquisition activities for EMEA.

 

Key Figures:

-Thouarcé (49) site (“THO”) close to Angers: 58 permanent, 4 agency employees (2021). Collective bargaining agreement of the Metal Industry.
-Lillebonne (76) site (“LILL”), close to Le Havre: 38 permanent, 6 agency employees (2021). Collective bargaining agreement of the Ceramics industry.
France: 292 employees (2021) including Thouarcé and Lillebonne, as well as another industrial site in St Marcellin en Forez and an administrative site in Andrézieux Bouthéon.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Full accountability for implementing an annual agenda to drive HR strategy forward in line with the business plan
• Full accountability for providing information and HR reports
• Full accountability for implementing People & Organisation plans in order to support the needs of the business, as well as organizational and cultural change.

 

Business Partnering
• Develop and implement a plan covering the following areas: Recruitment & Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, training and development.
• To implement standard policies and procedures at the site and train managers on their use.
• Provide professional advice and guidance on all HR matters to the local managers ensuring compliance with Morgan corporate policies and statutory regulations. To coach managers on putting the advice into practice.

 

Talent Management

• Continue the local implementation of the Talent Management process to ensure the right talent is available to meet the business agenda, using the Performance Management System (PMS) of the Group.
• Support the recruitment process identifying relevant agencies to partner with using competency based interview techniques and occupational/psychometric assessments when needed to ensure the “best” fit.
• Acting as a coordinator for the PMS activities for Europe


Development

• Design and Implement training & development programmes using a breadth of tools and techniques to meet the skill gaps identified.


Reward & Recognition

• Implement competitive and cost effective remuneration plans to ensure the sites attract, retain and engages the necessary talented employees for the business.
• To ensure incentive plan administration is completed to required standards.
• To review employee files and employment contracts to ensure that all required documentation is held.
• To implement and monitor Company HR Key Performance Indicators.

 

EHS Risk & Compliance

• Audit locations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Manage policies and procedures to minimise risk to the organisation.
• To be committed to the Group-wide ethics and compliance programme, RBP; ensuring a common approach to doing business the right way and adhering at all times to the core elements of the programme - values, policies/guidance, training/education and compliance risk assessment.

 

Labor relations
• Partner with the Labor relations Manager to ensure smooth, open and trustful relations with the local Employees representatives (CSE)
Others
• Being the Ethics officer of Thouarcé and Lillebonne sites
• Being the GDPR Champion of the 2 sites

 

Qualifications

• Master 2 degree or similar in HR Management/ Labor law.
• Experience as a HR Manager operating within the Manufacturing industry would be beneficial. 
• Extensive multinational HR experience within a large and matrix organization is essential.
• Fluency in English to take part in European HR meetings, presentation to the management of the Division.
• Proven capacity to proactively drive change within the business.
• An understanding of French employment law and employment regulation.
• Excellent communication skills that focus on simplicity and clarity of presentation, both written and oral.
• Organisational talent, enthusiasm, team spirit and empathy
• Strong people management skills and cultural awareness
