The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and Training:
    Lead Production Supervisors manage and mentor a team of production staff, ensuring they understand and follow procedures, operate machinery safely, and meet quality standards. 
     
  • Workflow Optimization:
    They organize the production process, assign tasks, and schedule work to maximize efficiency and meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. 
     
  • Quality Control:
    They monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to maintain or enhance product quality. 
     
  • Safety Compliance:
    They enforce safety regulations, conduct inspections, and ensure a safe working environment for the team. 
     
  • Troubleshooting:
    They address issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or material shortages, and find solutions to keep production running smoothly. 
     
  • Performance Management:
    They monitor employee attendance and performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance assessments. 
     
  • Inventory Management:
    They may be involved in tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies for production and minimizing waste. 
     
  • Reporting:
    They create reports on production performance, highlighting successes and areas needing attention

Qualifications

 

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Production processes: Understanding the intricacies of the manufacturing process and equipment. 
     
  • Equipment maintenance: Knowledge of how to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment. 
     
  • Quality assurance: Ensuring products meet established quality standards.
