Responsibilities

 

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Facility and Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled team of maintenance professionals in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.  This will be a Temporary assignment with 1st Shift hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of 5 maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high team effectiveness.
  • Oversee execution of the preventive maintenance plan and manage reactive repairs. Coordinate internal resources and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead the maintenance shop operations, ensuring availability of tools, spare parts, and fabrication capabilities to support daily repairs and kaizen initiatives.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a diverse range of equipment, from traditional machining tools to advanced CNC systems and specialized process technologies.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, track, and analyze maintenance activities. Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and monitor related KPIs.
  • Champion a safety-first culture. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and training.
  • Support and lead improvement projects aimed at increasing equipment uptime, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance supervision, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and TPM methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC machinery and legacy equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and kaizen principles.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and contractor performance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
