Responsibilities

 

Job purpose:

 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support the implementation of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP system at our Greenville, SC site. This is a temporary position for approximately 6 to 9 months, focused on preparing and validating standard costing structures within the new ERP environment.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Collaborate with the Finance Controller and cross-functional teams to define and implement standard costing methodologies in D365.
  • Analyze existing cost structures and ensure accurate migration and alignment with the new ERP system.
  • Support the setup of cost elements, cost centers, and product costing models in D365.
  • Validate cost data and perform variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in testing and validating costing functionalities during ERP system configuration and go-live phases.
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making during the implementation.
  • Document costing processes, assumptions, and configuration decisions for future reference.

  • Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.  Minimum experience of 5 years
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environment.
  • Intermediate English preferred

  • Experience with ERP implementations or system transitions.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing principles and practices.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
