Overview

Role : IT SITE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Location: Auburn, CA

Duration : Permanent 

Salary : $75,000 - $92,000 + Benefits.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

In this role you will build and maintain IT relationship with sites and support their IT experience

 

Implementation of Technological Solutions

  • Install, configure, and optimize systems, networks, and applications to meet operational requirements and site demands.
  • Implement software and hardware updates, minimizing disruptions.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure the integration of technological solutions into production processes.

Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Monitor the performance of IT infrastructure, identifying and resolving technical issues reported through the ticket portal.
  • Maintain the IT inventory and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on servers, networks, and devices in operational environments.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and tickets generated in the HelpDesk portal, ensuring service continuity.

Team Coordination

  • Foster collaboration between the local IT team, global IT, and other areas to align technological solutions with operational needs.

Technical Innovation

  • Propose and implement technical improvements to optimize system efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay updated on technological trends relevant to the operational environment.

Administrative Management

  • Adhere to global and local policies.

 

You’ll ensure resolution of incidents and requests, while always keeping users up to date

You will support users in their IT proficiency to maximize value from IT Services

You will also support programs, projects, asset management and local IT management

Work onsite 3 days every other week at the Hayward, CA site

Work remote 2 days a month

 

Qualifications

Your background:

To succeed in the role, you will need to have 1-3 years of experience in IT support, site support, or a related role, as well as hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving IT issues at the site level.

You will be good at diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.

The role will need your strong customer service and communication skills for assisting end-users on-site.

If you have a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field it would be preferred but is not always required, although relevant certifications, such as ITIL, or equivalent, are beneficial.

 

Experience preferred:

 

  • Awareness of OT systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS, including how they interface with IT and industrial networking principles.
  • Understanding of core IT technologies, including enterprise networking, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), virtualization, Active Directory, and solutions that enable IT/OT convergence.
  • Familiarity with commonly used MES platforms like Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GE Digital, Ectobox, Ignition, Tulip, and Litmus.
