Morgan Advanced Materials is seeking a skilled Green Machinist III to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong machining expertise and a passion for precision work. Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Manufacture complex parts with tight dimensional and tolerance requirements
  • Conduct and document first article inspections
  • Program CNC equipment and design/select appropriate tooling
  • Train team members on equipment, inspection techniques, and production standards
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Support preventive maintenance and report repair needs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of machining experience, including CNC setup and programming
  • Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), ASME Y14.5
  • Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry
  • Skilled in operating manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment
  • Knowledge of standard measuring tools and inspection methods
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical work instructions
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout the shift
  • “Certified Operator” status preferred
  • CMM experience is a plus

Job Title: Green Machinist III
Location: Auburn, CA
Shift: Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Compensation: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
 

Additional Requirements:

This position may involve access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. Applicants must be U.S. persons, as defined by 22 CFR 120.15:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
  • Protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
