The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with the reactive, proactive, and predictive maintenance for the site.  The Maintenance Manager is responsible for establishing solid accountability and proficiency standards for the entire maintenance team.  

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for creating a World Class maintenance program by developing and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), managing the performance and execution of the maintenance team, delivering on the maintenance metrics that drive the business performance, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

 

  • Partnering with the operation leaders, develop a robust set of maintenance metrics that are indicators of business performance.
  • Partnering with a 3rd party contractor, lead the execution of the reactive, proactive, and predictive maintenance activities for the site.
  • Provide overall EHS leadership to the maintenance team and actively participate in accident investigations and site tours.
  • Partnering with the maintenance team, maintain the LOTO procedure database and post as required on the related equipment.
  • Establish the baseline and target for the maintenance metrics and costs and provide frequent updates and action plans to operations team.
  • Through internal and external benchmarking, gather and compile examples of best in class maintenance practices to share and implement with the operations team.
  • Develop project plans for maintenance turnarounds and continuous improvement projects and regularly meet with the maintenance and operations teams to update progress and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Partnering with the integrated supplier, ensure the proper critical spares are available when required while optimizing the amount of inventory in stores.
  • Develop and maintain a database of equipment documentation (drawings, manuals, etc.) and provide access to the maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Partnering with the finance team, develop weekly and monthly reports that capture all maintenance labor and supplies spend by asset and department.
  • Develop and maintain a labeling program for all assets including all electrical and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering plus 10 years of supervisor maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience in using a CMMS
  • Knowledge of the following trades:
    • Electrical
    • Instrumentation
    •  Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
    • Fluid Power
    • Mechanical
    • HVAC
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s)
    • Fabrication
    • Welding
    • Robotics
  • Experience in technological advancement, new product/process implementation, and asset maintenance strategy experience.
  • Possess superior organization, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to perform as a Leader and Collaborator and the ability to communicate comfortably at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience operating in ERP systems is preferred 
  • Advanced MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management, good report writing, and data analysis skills.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of sitting and using a computer for a considerable portion of an 8-hours workday. Must be capable of walking throughout the facility and property to check on employees and equipment. Must be able to physically wear personal protective equipment such as, but limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, respirator and steel toe boots.
