Global Operations Director – Thermal Ceramics

Location: Remote (based in Europe or India preferred)
Business Unit: Thermal Ceramics, Morgan Advanced Materials
Reports To: President, Thermal Ceramics Division

As Global Operations Director, you’ll help drive strategic execution across a €500M division that plays a key role in enabling decarbonization and industrial efficiency worldwide.

You’ll be part of an experienced executive team within a business that’s known for market-leading innovation. From championing process improvement and sustainability initiatives to supporting the development of breakthrough technologies like Superwool® XTRA, your impact will be felt across 20+ manufacturing sites and multiple regions.

The Role

As Global Operations Director, you will lead the end-to-end operational strategy for the Thermal Ceramics division focusing on safety, operational excellence, sustainability, and growth. This role is pivotal to delivering performance improvements across the global footprint and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

• Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee global manufacturing strategy and industrial performance
  • Lead sustainability and decarbonization initiatives across sites
  • Develop and deliver CAPEX and ESG investment plans
  • Build long-term capacity and production optimisation strategies
  • Embed processes and share operational best practices globally
  • Partner closely with R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
  • Support, mentor, and develop regional operations leaders and teams
  • Drive operational compliance, safety, and efficiency globally

   

• What You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience leading global manufacturing and operations teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capability
  • A background in engineering or technical disciplines; MBA preferred
  • Proven success in transformation, continuous improvement, and sustainability delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and communication skills
  • A track record of delivering results in complex, international environments
