Responsibilities

Join Our Team as an Industrial Hygienist / Health & Safety Technician
Location: On-site | Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-time | Travel Required

 

Morgan is seeking a motivated and experienced Industrial Hygienist / Health & Safety Technician to help drive our commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and health-conscious workplace. This role is vital in ensuring our facilities and customer sites meet rigorous health and safety standards through inspections, training, sampling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage health & safety (H&S) programs aligned with Morgan and OSHA standards.

  • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling on-site and at client locations, maintaining detailed records and equipment calibration.

  • Deliver comprehensive reports with findings and improvement recommendations.

  • Facilitate safety initiatives such as Take 5, Think SAFE, and near-miss reporting.

  • Lead risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and inspections to identify and correct safety hazards.

  • Administer employee training on workplace safety, emergency procedures, and powered industrial vehicles.

  • Track non-conformances, risk management activities, and audit results to closure.

  • Coordinate and lead biweekly safety committee meetings.

  • Support compliance efforts with emergency equipment and third-party safety inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of H&S experience, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Industrial Hygiene certification strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel to customer sites and obtain a passport.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of H&S principles, regulatory compliance, and data interpretation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks effectively.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Must navigate manufacturing areas and wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, shoes, ear plugs).

  • Work environment includes office settings and production areas with noise and temperature variability.
