Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily operations in our spun/blown fiber, air class, and chopping departments. This leadership role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted production, operational excellence, and a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Reporting to the Factory Focus Manager (with a dotted line to the Operations Manager), the ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong manufacturing background and a passion for continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise production operators to achieve safety, productivity, cost, and quality targets
  • Coordinate daily manufacturing of fiber blankets and bulk products
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to maintain consistent production flows
  • Partner with supply chain and planning teams to align on production schedules
  • Ensure availability of materials, packaging, and tools for uninterrupted operations
  • Submit maintenance work orders and collaborate on equipment repairs
  • Promote and enforce safety policies and maintain housekeeping standards
  • Train, evaluate, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce
  • Maintain accurate production records and performance KPIs
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and lead autonomous maintenance tasks
  • Approve timesheets and manage team schedules via Asure
  • Participate actively in SIM-1 and SIM-3 operations meetings
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts; overtime, holidays, and weekends required as needed
  • Environment:
    • High-decibel noise environment (hearing protection required)
    • Temperatures up to 110°F during summer
    • Frequent exposure to dust, rotating machinery, and forklifts
    • Mandatory PPE: steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection; respirators in designated areas
    • Physically demanding work including standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing stairs/ladders, and maneuvering around production equipment
