EMEA Junior Reporting Accountant


Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in Katowice office, 2 days remote


Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

 

Are you looking to develop your career in financial reporting within an international business?

We are looking for a Junior Reporting Accountant to join our Thermal Ceramics Finance Team in EMEA. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in corporate financial reporting, IFRS compliance, and cross-border collaboration within a multinational manufacturing organisation. You will work closely with our EMEA Reporting team and Shared Services Finance team, supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance across multiple sites. IND-1

 

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

 

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Support monthly IFRS group reporting and local GAAP statutory accounting.
  • Process and maintain reconciliations for key accounts, ensuring timely resolution of queries.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory accounts in collaboration with external auditors.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Assist in improving the internal control environment and best practices across the EMEA region.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Support the automation of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Work closely with finance teams across EMEA, ensuring standardised reporting procedures.
  • Engage with stakeholders across multiple countries to support accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and IFRS.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyse financial data.
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a virtual, multinational team.
  • A detail-oriented, methodical approach with strong time management.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of German GAAP and statutory reporting processes.
  • Experience working remotely with international teams.
  • Familiarity with JDE E1 ERP system or other global ERP systems.
