Are you a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for manufacturing and data analysis? Thermal Ceramics, a global manufacturer of high-performance thermal insulation products, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
This highly visible role is ideal for a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of cost structures in a manufacturing environment. You'll collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide insights that drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain standard costs, including materials, labor, scrap, yields, and overhead rates
Perform variance analysis to monitor cost performance
Conduct in-depth inventory analysis and reporting (MoM/YoY trends, inventory turns, DIO, E&O)
Analyze product and customer-level margins, profitability of bids and quotes, and financial performance of projects and capital expenditures
Support monthly financial close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting
Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to turn data into actionable insights
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Product Engineering
3–5+ years of cost accounting or technical product experience
Deep knowledge of BOMs, routers, manufacturing orders, variance analysis, and related terminology
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365, JDE 9.1, or similar), including system implementation
Advanced Excel modeling and strong Power BI dashboard skills
A strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving, judgment, and communication skills
Resilience, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement
