Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

Perform all basic materials and product testing and inspection procedures, write brief reports summarizing the results, and have a general familiarity with all the Quality Requirements and Manufacturing Processes throughout the site.  Perform roles and responsibilities in accordance with direction from the Quality Supervisor and the Quality Engineers.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality, as directed by Quality Engineers & Supervisor.
  2. Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
  3. Serve as a secondary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
  4. Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  5. Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports. Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  6. Assist in process certification.
  7. Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
  8. Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
  9. Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  10. If needed, address non-conformities from internal and external audits.
  11. Follow-up on and close pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests, as needed.
  12. Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic math skills – multiplication, division, addition and subtraction required.
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems in an ISO 9001/AS 9100 is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of general laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience with developing/documenting procedures.
  • Use of Quality Engineering methods in testing and inspection.
  • Computer proficiency.

  • Must be able to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departments of the Company
  • Must be able to work well with external contacts of the Company
  • Must have good time management skills
