TEST ANALYST - D365 IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT

Job Summary:

The Test Analyst for Microsoft Dynamics D365 is responsible for  manual and test automation of the Highlander D365 implementation project.

This covers core D365 configuration (in collaboration with our Dynamics System Integration Partner) in addition to interfaces and integrations to other third-party systems or Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) as approved by Microsoft 

 

This is a project role during the Highlander Programme lifecycle as Morgan sites are rolled out on D365 and transitioned to steady state BAU support

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics D365 across finance, supply chain, production operations including MRP, Manufacturing and CE. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven experience in leading teams is essential. 

 

Due to the aggressive timelines and delivery plans the Test Analyst will be required to hit the ground running and have the ability to learn new tools very quickly. 

 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Testing Factory design and management: 

  • Coordinate with the different stakeholders involved in testing activities, mainly program managers, Supply chain maintenance lead, IT leads, testers from IT and from business, both in central and local teams, to plan all the different tests phases with them.  
  • Advocate  the test processes and tools. Share it with all the actors and make sure processes are well-followed 
  • Advocate  the Testing framework to accommodate reusable testing scenarios and scripts that can be reused across the multiple rollouts, across multiple locations. 
  • Understand the functional scope and interact with the different teams. Identify any risk of missing steps in the testing campaign. 
  • Engage all contributors for their implementation on different testing phases: System, System 2 System, End To End (impacts on cross-systems apps) 
  • Organize the test automation activities 

 

Test preparation: 

  • Review test scenarios and test scripts defined by IT domains and GPOs. Make sure the functional scope is covered during the test execution roadmap 
  • Coordinate the rewrite of tests scripts for IST to make sure the step by step is well-defined to go to industrialization 
  • Ensure all test scenarios and scripts are prepared to schedule  
  • Assist the training execution for users on test methodology and test tool  
  • Define test scenarios priorities from business critical to lower priorities. 
  • Secure the testing of integrated scenarios to make sure the global consistency of the solution. 
  • Prepare the test data in readiness for test execution  
  • Identify automation candidates  
  • Automate the test scenarios as planed  

 

Test execution and follow up 

  • Execute and follow-up the plan and reach out the stakeholders to make sure milestones are reached. 
  • Escalate issues and mitigation plan to recover on any risk of delaying activities. 
  • Contribute to the preparation of go-live & deployments. 
  • Execute E2E  Testing for each rollout  
  • Execute Regression testing 
  • Support onsite and Remote UAT as required   
  • Present and execute remediation plan. Provide all proofs/reports at the end of test campaigns. 
  • Propose areas of improvement with some business reengineering and be able to provide answers to GPOs. 
  • As member of Testing Expertise Center, play a proactive role in proposing and sharing technologies, tools & approaches. 

Qualifications

Experience Required: 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. 

Experience: 

  • Tech skills: Leapwork and Azure Dev Ops  (test repository/dashboard module)  
  • A testing expert recognize as a referent  
  • Soft skills: Agility, Drive and leadership, solution focus skills 
  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end 
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business 
  • A change agent, flexible, a trusted advisor, committed and transparent  
  • Project skills: Planning & Reporting oriented 
  • Strong experience as a D365 Test Analyst  
  • A highly organised team player who can also work well autonomously 
  • Business skills: Thorough understanding of Supply Chain & Finance fundamentals, Warehouse operations, Logistics, Shipments, Sales, Invoicing, etc. 
  • Worldwide skills: Experience with large enterprise projects in international environments.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures 
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience 
  • Fluent English skills (verbal and written)
