Electrical Project Engineer

What You'll Do:

You will work on electrical controls and facilities related infrastructure projects for the Electrical Carbon Group located in Fostoria, Ohio.  This position reports to our Project Engineering Manager who leads a team that provides local support and executes capital and major maintenance projects.

• Collaborate with our dedicated team of operations personnel, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive existing and new engineering projects to fruition.
• Lead projects from design to implementation, focusing on both medium and low voltage distribution systems and electrical control systems.
• Apply your electrical engineering acumen to solve complex problems, ensuring all projects adhere to the highest industry standards.
• Develop comprehensive project budgets, meticulously estimating labor, materials, and equipment needs.
• Engage in hands-on project management, ensuring all tasks meet our stringent criteria for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Provide essential on-site support, tackling equipment and facility-related challenges head-on.
• Enhance our technical capabilities by supervising and training personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in VFD, HMI, and PLC control systems.
• Demonstrated project management prowess.
• Proficiency in AutoCad and a solid understanding of NFPA Electrical Standards.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001/AS 9100, alongside a keen interest in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
