Responsibilities

Summary:

 

The Finishing Expert is responsible for operating part-cleaning equipment and will understand how to run all manual and automated equipment in the plating, cleaning, paint, laser scribing, and sandblasting manufacturing Responsible for understanding measurement techniques and will be knowledgeable in traditional inspection methodology tools and set-ups including XRF. Continued training in advanced printing reading and inspection methodology. Coordinate product flow through the cleaning process. Inspect parts using typical visual measuring methods and equipment. The Expert would be responsible for producing product, inspecting using typical measuring equipment, and recording data on all required documents.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the set-up and operation of Finishing machines to perform a series of progressive machining/ finishing operations, holding precise tolerances and finishing requirements per customer specifications
  • Must understand machine functionality, make programming edits and adjust offsets
  • Ensure that work area is clean and organized  and safe for all personnel
  • Performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of a problem within the paint rooms, and to implement a fix, as required.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe work conditions.
  • Responsible for paint manufacturing powder-related technical issues and assists in troubleshooting process or equipment issues.
  • Operate and train lower level employees for laser operations, sand blasting, and cleaning operations
  • Operate equipment to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Ensure the product is defect-free and ready for the next step in production
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, team lead, or by the production manager

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Read and communicate in English
  • Read and comprehend drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Work well with others in a team building environment
  • Work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, including the machines
  • Identify area for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction
  • Know where all the controls are located
  • Understanding the use of all appropriate safety guards
  • Be able to lift the minimum of 35 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background investigation.

Pay Range:  $32.42 to $35.65 Per Hour plus 10% shift differential
