Responsibilities

Job purpose:

Its purpose is the continuous improvement of production processes in the plant, through redesigning processes, implementing technology, innovating solutions in tooling, safety guards, ergonomics, software, etc., while ensuring safe working conditions for operators. in each station and promote improvements in efficiency, time reduction, energy savings, etc., in order to obtain the maximum benefit from the installed production capacity.


Main responsibilities:

 

  • It is responsible for designing and improving guards and safety devices for machines, in order to maintain a safe work environment for the operator.
  • Responsible for systematically reviewing and improving work methods and documenting improvements in Standard Operating Procedures, informing stakeholders and updating documents in the QMS, with the aim of driving efficiency and continuous improvement. in productive operations.
  • It is responsible for defining, designing and keeping updated the appropriate measurement instruments and methods used within production processes; Likewise, it is responsible for documenting changes to the Standard Operating Procedure and updating the procedures in the QMS.
  • It is responsible for designing production tooling, assembly devices, pokayokes, gages, etc., in order to help keep processes updated based on the technology available on the market.
  • It is responsible for coordinating with plants in the USA the actions required in cases of product transfer, therefore, he knows the structure of the organization, the products, customers and the manufacturing process of the products.
  • Actively participates in new projects: layouts, start-up of new equipment and in the training of personnel in the operation of the machines, devices, tools and tooling involved in the process.
  • Participate and coordinate kaizen events focused on improving the area in terms of safety, quality and productivity
  • Participate and lead A3, 8D's and any other problem solving tool depending on the need of the area

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University degree, desirable: Industrial Engineer, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineer
  • 3 years verifiable experience in a similar job position
  • Proficiency in the English language at level B2, C1 desirable

  • AutoCAD 2D / Solidworks
  • Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing tools
  • Taking times and movements
  • Interpretation of plans and diagrams
  • Device development
  • Procedure development
