Responsibilities

Job purpose:

Its purpose is to solve the technical challenges related to the manufacture of electrical brushes, collectors and switches; plans, designs, develops products from the prototype stage to manufacturing. Likewise, it involves the tools, machinery and technological devices that ensure the manufacturing of the product, meeting the design specifications and satisfying the customer's needs.

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for leading new product development projects with the use of APQP and PPAP, for their implementation, validation and release of products to normal production lines.
  • Responsible for developing plans, schedules and work orders; as well as coordinate engineering changes for products in the plant.
  • It is responsible for carrying out the feasibility analysis to establish if the Plant has the capacity to produce the new products requested; verifies the existence of the necessary machines, tools, devices and work methods.
  • It is responsible for generating the list of materials, manufacturing processes and calculating the cost of labor and sending it to the Finance area so that it can determine the production cost of the products of the local line.
  • It is responsible for printing date plates on the laser machine and providing them in a timely manner to the corresponding production lines.
  • Responsible for establishing reorder points for tooling, PPE, chemicals, among others; of new products while they are in the testing phase; When the new development stabilizes, it sends the consumption information of said products to the Consumables Warehouse for subsequent management.
  • It is responsible for creating IMMEX structures for new products and updates them for changes in the product, and informs interested parties in this process.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University degree, desirable: Industrial Engineer, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineer
  • 3 years verifiable experience in a similar job position
  • Proficiency in the English language at level B2, C1 desirable

 

It will be highly valued to have experience in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of core tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC)
  • Knowledge and use of statistical software (Minitab)
  • GD&T Knowledge
  • Knowledge of safe launch for prototypes
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software
  • Materials science knowledge
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Project management, feasibility study, financial analysis to determine cost-benefit
