The Performance Carbon business of Morgan Advanced Materials makes high-performance self-lubricating bearing and seal components, predominantly used in pumps, industrial and domestic, or other sealing applications.

We use advanced carbon/graphite, silicon carbide, alumina and zirconia materials to engineer lightweight, low-friction bearings and seals. These materials help solve the problems associated with the use of lubricants in extreme temperatures, corrosive or hygienic environments where access is restricted, and are engineered into products which provide customer-specific solutions.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling and supervising production throughout its cycle or process, ensuring that all timelines related to the supply are adhered to and are achieved in an efficient manner.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop the Production Schedule to prepare requirements for purchase and manufacture;
  • Support/Coordinate SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Process) for the sites/product lines under his/her responsibilities by providing data, reports and metrics;
  • Develop the balance between existing and future client & Inter Company demand with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure expectations are managed and met whilst keeping stock and work in progress to expected levels;
  • Review requests of new sales order / customer / Inter Company schedules and provide practical promise dates to Customer Service Agents
  • Supervise the schedule for manufacturing
  • Evaluate data for planning requirements
  • Identify and recommend feasible solutions to solve operational issues and resolve scheduling problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
  • Monitor scheduling efficiency and effectiveness against performance criteria (department and individual KPIS and objectives)
  • Provide adequate information (reports/plans etc) via business system to procurement and the commercial team to ensure continuity and correct volumes of material supply to meet business/customer demand.
  • Support Supply Chain Manager/ Planning Supervisor in providing business demand information and WIP requirements to enable Planning to control inventory levels.

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in Planning and Master Scheduling
  • S&OP / SIOP Experience
  • Multi-Site Planning Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Data Entry – General Computer skills and experience
  • APICS (CPIM/CSCP) Certification (desired)
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft D365, Microsoft Word-Processing and Spreadsheet (Excel) software
  • Must be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format
  • Must be able to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departments of the Company
  • Must be able to work well with external contacts of the Company
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must adhere to all Company policies
