The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

Backshift: Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm and Fridays 11.30am - 5pm.

 

To carry out the Finishing of the ceramics in their raw state and remove all die line

By means of sand paper, files and NSK drills.

Work to the Standard Process Instruction’s (SPI) at all times.

 

‘think SAFE’ at all times and report any concerns regarding H&S immediately.

 

  • Read and follow instructions given on SPI.
  • Finish Cores to the quality standard on the SPI.
  • Visual check when die line is removed to ensure core is finished correctly and no underlying visual defects are present
  • Ensure routing/batch cards are filled out correctly before moving to the next operation.
  • Comply with and encourage others to be safe in conjunction with Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Make sure that your work area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Use of magnifiers when required.
  • Terminal reporting on IFS (full training will be given).
  • A flexible approach to hours worked, including overtime and shift patterns. And also job rotation.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.45 inc Shift allowance

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of Written and Verbal English.
  • Good Visual Awareness.
  • Previous Finishing Experience useful but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a high volume, quality driven production environment.
  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to work with a diverse team
  • High energy and an ability to demonstrate resilience in achieving goals/targets.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to deliver to the highest quality standards.
  • Willingness to learn new jobs in various departments/environments.
