The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance technicians, provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Manage execution of the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure timely and proactive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct daily start-up meetings with maintenance technicians to assign tasks, review work priorities, and ensure effective communication.
  • Assess and assign new work orders to technicians based on their skill, experience, and knowledge, considering workload distribution and technician capabilities.
  • Manage maintenance data documentation in the organization’s comprehensive maintenance management system, provide guidance and support for technicians’ retrieval and input of such data.
  • Interface with vendors as needed to obtain quotes for materials, parts, service, repair, etc., and monitor the execution of activities by outside vendors.
  • Generate and route purchase order requisitions for approval, ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies and resources.
  • Effectively manage spare parts inventory, ensure critical minimum quantities are maintained and provide feedback for necessary threshold updates.
  • Oversee the management of shop stock inventory, ensure necessary 30-day quantities are maintained and provide feedback for necessary threshold updates.
  • Manage the inventory of tools and equipment, ensure availability and serviceability of tools, machinery, and special equipment used by maintenance technicians.
  • Monitor and conduct maintenance qualification training for each maintenance technician, identify areas for improvement and provide necessary support.
  • Track the status of all maintenance technicians' program compliance training, including safety protocols, confined space procedures, hot work regulations, electrical work guidelines, working at heights, PPE management and use, respiratory protection, HAZCOM, HAZMAT/HAZWASTE awareness and handling, emergency response, permit to work, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory/coordination role in machine maintenance or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience in relevant maintenance areas preferred: CNC machines, industrial furnaces, grinding machines, ball mills, lathes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general construction.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with maintenance management software required.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes and requisition generation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.

 

 Individual must be a:

  • Citizen of the United States, or
  • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
  • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Salary Range: Salaried exempt $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus potential 10%
