The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

1 x Day Shift Available

 

Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm and Fridays 6am - 11.30am

Employed as an Injection Moulder working as a member of the Inputs Team reporting to the Shift Supervisor, responsible for the safe and efficient running of the machine, ensuring the parameters are set to the standard operating procedures. Carry out the duties associated with the manufacture, packing and inspection of the Ceramic Core

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operate Small, Medium and Large injection moulding machines safely and correctly.
  • Complete necessary worksheets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Process Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised working environment.
  • Adhere to Company regulations, rule and procedures.
  • Highlight any machine maintenance, matrix/reformers/tooling and calibration concerns.
  • Work with other team members to provide support.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
  • Report to the Charge hand/Module Leader any issues which may impact on the ability of manufacturing to achieve the plan.
  • Take part in continuous improvement projects and work within 6S practises.
  • To be trained in at least one other production process and to be able to move departments in line with business need.
  • Report Near misses

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £11.55 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Qualifications and Skills

Good understanding of Written and Verbal English

Good Visual Awareness

Basic Maths & English Skills

Previous Operating Machine Experience useful

Experience of Manufacturing Environment essential
