Du arbeitest an strategisch wichtigen Entwicklungsprojekten – insbesondere in den Bereichen Energiespeicherung und -erzeugung. Thermodynamisches Know-how ist von Vorteil. Join our international team at Morgan Thermal Ceramics in Kempten – specialized in mainly microporous materials and advanced insulation technologies development, supporting business teams, product managers, and manufacturing sites across the US, South Korea, and Germany.

We are looking for a forward-thinking engineer with expertise in ceramic materials and process technologies to drive strategic development projects – particularly in the fields of energy storage and generation. Thermodynamic knowledge is a plus. This role offers exciting diversity, ranging from hands-on R&D to leading innovation-driven projects in close collaboration with global teams.

• Entwicklung und Optimierung anspruchsvoller Hochtemperaturdämmstoffe auf Basis mikroporöser Materialien (z. B. amorphe Kieselsäure)
• Eigenverantwortliche Durchführung von Entwicklungsprojekten im Bereich Material- und Prozessentwicklung – bis hin zur Serienreife
• Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung von Versuchen (z. B. mit Minitab), Pflege von Datenbanken
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit internen und externen Partnern
• Entwicklung und Betreuung spezifischer Messmethoden
• Erstellung und Pflege von Mess- und Arbeitsanweisungen, technischer Support für vorhandene Prüfgeräte

• Develop and optimize advanced thermal insulation products based on microporous materials (e.g., amorphous silica)
• Lead and implement material and process development projects from concept to production scale
• Design, conduct, and analyze test programs – using tools like Minitab – and maintain data systems
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan and execute development activities
• Drive the development of specific measurement methods and maintain related documentation
• Provide technical support for testing equipment and ensure quality and consistency in process outcomes

• Abgeschlossenes Studium als Keramikingenieur oder Ausbildung zum staatlich geprüften Keramiktechniker (vergleichbare Qualifikation ebenfalls willkommen)
• Selbstständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und sicheres Auftreten
• Erste Erfahrungen in Projektmanagement, Labor- und Prüftätigkeiten sowie qualitätsnahen Produktionsprozessen
• Kommunikationsstärke, Offenheit, Teamgeist und Verantwortungsbewusstsein
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Sicherer Umgang mit MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Neugier und weltweite Reisebereitschaft

• Degree in Ceramic Engineering or qualification as a certified ceramic technician (similar technical backgrounds welcome)
• Hands-on experience with lab testing, prototype development, and production-related quality processes
• Initial experience in project management and process innovation
• Strong communication and organizational skills, team spirit, and a solution-driven mindset
• Proficiency in German and English
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and statistical software
• Willingness to travel globally and an eagerness to learn
