The Molten Metal Systems business of Morgan Advanced Materials manufactures an extensive range of high-performance crucibles and foundry consumables for non-ferrous metal melting applications We provide melting solutions for foundries, die-casters and melting facilities working with zinc, precious metals, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals.

Key Figures: Revenue £1,114.7m (2023), ~8,500 employees, manufacturing in 20+ countries, and a global customer portfolio. A UK PLC with head office located in Windsor, Berkshire UK.  Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business Insight Development: Gain a deep understanding of our business environment and key performance drivers.
  • High-Quality Reporting: Create insightful reports, analysis, and commentary to aid in decision-making.
  • SAP BPC Expertise: Develop proficiency in SAP BPC report writing and troubleshooting.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide financial analysis to drive profitability and cash generation, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decisions
  • Profitability Enhancement: Utilising financial models recognize patterns in data to generate insights on how to drive improvements in product and site profitability
  • Operational Support: Maintain data reports to support Operations and Commercial functions.
  • Productivity Monitoring: Work with operational teams to develop tools and insights that enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the GBU’s budgeting process, including drafting templates and consolidating regional returns.
  • Month-End Reporting: Support the GBU FD with month-end result collation, variance tracking, and ensuring accurate accounting treatment.
  • CAPEX Management: Own the CAPEX tracker, monitor quarterly actuals, forecast spend, and review project benefits.
  • Skill Development: Partner with the finance team to develop analytical skills across the organization.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Engage in various project-based work and special requests as needed.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Newly qualified or recent graduate in Finance & Accounting or Business Administration, with knowledge of data analytics.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of FPA experience
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and strong numerical skills.
  • Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Financial Modeling: Ability to build and interpret financial models is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Problem-solving abilities with a knack for seeing the big picture and applying common sense.
  • Proactive Approach: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing tasks within rigid timeframes.
  • SAP Certification
