Title - Commercial Manager

Location – Remote US, Hybrid or on site in Hayward California

Morgan Advanced Materials is looking for a Commercial Manager to oversee our established Braze Alloys business across North America and to further develop our presence the EMEA market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building customer relationships and has a keen eye for strategic decision-making. Located ideally within reasonable distance from our Hayward, California plant, this role involves approximately 50% travel time, primarily to customers, distributors and industry events.  If you don’t live near to our plant in Hayward but are happy to travel, we would still like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Team Leadership: Directly manage a team of seven Customer Service Representatives and an Inside Sales Team Leader, fostering an environment of growth and development.
  2. Strategic Sales Planning: Craft and implement effective sales strategies to enhance market presence and penetrate new sectors, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  3. Client Engagement: Strengthen relationships with established clients and identify new business opportunities across North America, with medium term ambition to expand our presence in the EMEA market.
  4. Performance Management: Oversee all commercial planning processes, ensuring goals and objectives are met through effective strategy, forecasting, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  1. Proven Leadership: Experience leading commercial teams, particularly within sales, marketing, and customer service functions.
  2. Strategic Acumen: Strong background in developing and executing growth strategies in the manufacturing sector, preferably within brazing or welding applications.
  3. Exceptional Communication: Ability to liaise with senior management and stakeholders effectively, coupled with robust negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  4. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration required. A Master's degree is preferred.
