The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Maintenance Specialist

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

A qualified candidate for this position must have an extremely high mechanical aptitude, a high degree of manual dexterity and good verbal communication skills. The candidate must have a knowledge of ASME and OSHA codes and standards.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Vacuum Technology

  • Knowledge and good understanding of the principle of (UHV) Ultra high vacuum technology.
  • Knowledge and good understanding of overhauling vacuum pumps
  • Knowledge and good understanding of low, high and ultra-high-pressure gauges:
  • Knowledge and good understanding of Helium leak check principles.
  • Knowledge, good understanding of vacuum chamber operation and maintenance:
  • Knowledge and good understanding of hydrogen gas handling and safety protocol.

Electronics

  • Knowledge and good understanding of Electrical and electromechanical components and technology that deals with but not limited to the generation, distribution, switching, storage, and conversion of electrical energy to and from other energy forms using wires, motors, generators, batteries, switches, relays, transformers, resistors and other passive components.

 

HVACR (Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration):

  • Knowledge and good understanding of the theory, principles and maintenance of:
  • Heating systems: furnaces and heat pumps
  • Ventilation systems: Mechanical or forced ventilation (air handlers), direct line fans, flow rate and exhaust principles.
  • Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: condensing coil, expansion valves, evaporator coil and compressors.

Plumbing:

  • Knowledge and good understanding of the uses of pipes, valves, plumbing fixtures, tanks and other apparatuses to convey fluids.

 

Hydraulic Systems:

  • Knowledge and good understanding of the theory and maintenance of hydraulic pumps

Qualifications

Individual must be a:

  • Citizen of the United States, or
  • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
  • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Salary: Hourly non-exempt  $36.00 - $38.00 /hr
