Overview

 The mission of the Quality Manager is based on two main axes:

- Continuous improvement of the quality management system and the quality results of the establishment, by measuring, analysing and managing the associated action plans.

- The development of new products in direct relationship with the sales, marketing department and customers.

This fundamentally includes accountability for providing products to the agreed global quality standards. It also includes providing leadership, guidance, performance management and coaching to his/her team to enhance their capability and productivity in a safe environment and complaint to company’s ethical standards and code of conduct as well as to applicable legislation.

Delivering against both the lean and safety agenda will be two key priorities for this role. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Lab management

  • Leads the overall lab activity and staff: raw material inspections, production controls, quality certificates.
  • Optimizes resources (staff, equipment, scheduling, processes)
  • Proposes new projects (investments on new studies, products and machinery)
  • Keep and guarantees the level of quality for the products in line with what requested by the customers by analyzing the quality results with the relevant indicators to be able to prevent non conformity or quality level degradation.
  • Collaborate efficiently with production team to implement and follow self-control measurements in the process flo

Quality Management System:

  • The holder guarantees that the company's quality management system complies with the ISO 9001 standard and reports to the management committee on its operation and management review.
  • Develop a robust problem solving process to insure the continuous improvement of the processes and products.
  • Develop the quality spirit of all staff and build a strong customers oriented mindse

People management

  • As a leader, brings a new mindset in the plant, both on quality behaviors and efficiency.
  • Ensure the development of the quality team’s competencies.
  • Through active personal leadership creates a motivated and engaged climate in order to deliver quality goals effectively and efficiently.
  • Resistance to stress, conflict management, problem solving, result oriented.
  • Creates and maintains a positive and collaborative Employee Relations environment and a good social climate.

 

Environmental, Safety, Risk & Compliance

  • To be committed to the Group-wide ethics and compliance programme, COE; ensuring a common approach to doing business the right way and adhering at all times to the core elements of the programme - values, policies/guidance, training/education and compliance risk assessment.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Essential

  • A degreed engineer in Quality with material chemistry Background Chemistry or Business related subject.

 

Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in quality system management complying with ISO 9001.
  • Lean 6 sigma Black belt, WCM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization
  • Good English level (written and spoken)
  • Soft skills: hands-on person willing to do himself/herself, tenacious, able to build a team and open relationships
