Responsibilities

 

  • Identify potential new customers
  • Sell products to potential and existing customers face-to-face, achieving sales target
  • Keep up-to-date records of all sales related activity
  • Convert market understanding and sales leads into commercial opportunities

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sales techniques: knowing about different ways of selling, sales models, account management approaches, account planning methods, pricing structures
  • Knowledge of Morgan products: features, benefits, and how customers use them to support their own businesses
  • Customer Markets: understanding the customer applications, their market and market needs
  • Organizing and planning: prioritize customers and work, develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the work
  • Negotiation skills
  • Working with customers: experience of discovering customer needs and developing customer relationships, evaluating, and improving customer satisfaction
  • Forming a sales approach: make presentations, discuss options, negotiate successfully, and reach an agreement
  • Engineering and Technology: practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of mechanical goods
  • Application expertise to plant personnel who are responsible for carbon brush and collector ring maintenance
  • Technical Sales expert, providing appropriate and cost-effective solutions to our customers. Experienced at interfacing with key business units including Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations
  • Expertise in building lasting client relationships

 

Special Location/Position Requirements:

  • Cover Mid West territory
  • Must be able to travel within the territory as needed (50 - 60% of time)

 

Education Requirements:

Qualified candidates will preferably possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline along with 3 – 5 years of experience in technical sales, in heavy resource-driven industries as mining, oil and gas, steel, pulp and paper, metals, energy.
