The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities

 

In the role of Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) Global Market Manager, you will be a key driver in propelling the expansion of our Thermal Ceramics Division within the Chemical Processing Industry. You will lead in crafting the strategy, go-to-market initiatives, and value proposition that resonate with our wide-ranging customer base. Your influential leadership will be pivotal in establishing crucial partnerships, boosting profitability, and uncovering exciting global market opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the strategy, go-to-market and value proposition for the customer base in the CPI market and project manage implementation in the regional BUs of commercial organizations and actions to capture the selected strategic market opportunities (e.g., establishing supply chain and distributor management to target refurbishment opportunities).
  • Manage senior level relationships with key customers, licensors and other stake holders.
  • Lead the global CPI commercial team to implement the market strategy through coordination and influence –
  • Ensure Morgan’s products are specified, where relevant, to protect long-term competitive advantage.
  • Determine what additional products and services could be provided in this and adjacent market spaces and establish them through developing appropriate business cases ensuring all aspects of profitable delivery are considered.
  • Act as commercial lead for new product developments for the CPI industry
  • Establish a culture of global collaboration throughout the CPI team.
  • In collaboration with the Global Product Management Team, define the target markets and value proposition of new and existing products.

Qualifications

 

  • University Degree in Business or related field; master’s or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a global commercial role, directly interfacing with global customers.
  • Knowledge of strategy ideation, strategic model development, and project management approaches.
  • Proven experience in discovering customer needs, developing relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and form effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Understanding of management techniques, coaching, individual leadership, and diverse sales approaches.
  • Familiarity with Morgan products, features, benefits, and the CPI industry.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques: knowing about different ways of selling, sales models, account management approaches, account planning methods, pricing structures etc.
  • Understanding of Morgan products: features, benefits, and how customers use them to support their own businesses.
  • Knowledge of the petrochemical industry and current routes to market.

Location: 

The ideal candidate will be in Texas or remote in the US
