We currently have multiple positions open across a wide range of experience levels. Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Ph.D. or Master of Science in Materials Science or related discipline is desired, or bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in materials development and manufacturing.
  • Applicants should have a keen interest in carbon material science with focus on real world applications.
  • Have led and worked on next generation materials science and processing in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • A thorough knowledge of carbon-based materials and composites.
  • Experience in carbonization and post carbonization treatments focused on optimizing the final material’s thermal, mechanical, optical, electrical, and/or tribological properties.
  • Working knowledge of material processing techniques such as mixing, sizing, pressing, thermal treatments, purification, impregnation, etc.
  • In depth knowledge regarding materials characterization techniques.
  • Experience with single crystal SiC growth and SiC materials is desirable.
