Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for performing the basic repair on Ceramics production and production support equipment.

 

Assist in installation of new equipment and preventative maintenance of ceramic production and production support equipment. Introduction to high temperature kilns, clean room procedures and equipment and basic electrical trouble shooting. Responsible for collecting and disposing of waste throughout the ceramics manufacturing area. Assist in all cleanup of any material spills. Provides support for the Maintenance Handymen in completing assigned tasks.

 

The Operator would be responsible for producing product, inspecting using typical measuring equipment, and recording data on all required documents.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge/experience in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Knowledge/experience in general maintenance such as HVAC, plumbing, general construction, electrical, etc.
  • Knowledge/experience in the installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing machinery or similar.
  • Knowledge/experience in the use of Maintenance Management Information Systems, including documenting maintenance actions, reading maintenance history reports, and maintaining accurate records of equipment and/or facility maintenance information.
  • Familiar with Safety regulations (OSHA) relevant to industrial manufacturing environments.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Read and communicate in English.
  • Be able to lift the minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Capability to perform physical activity such as standing, bending, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery.
  • 1+ year experience performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial furnaces.
  • 1+ year experience performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hyraulic and isostatic presses.
  • 1+ year experience performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC system components.
  • 1+ year experience performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building and/or machinery electrical power supply system wiring and components in an industrial setting.
  • 1+ year experience performing structural repair quality welding on facilities and/or manufacturing equipment.

Salary range: $29.72 to 32.18 per hour
